I suggest looking for a KVM with a physical switch or button to change the selected computer rather then your current model which is using a 'soft' switch i.e. sensing a special keystroke. I can say that I have used Belkin KVM switches with Macs in that past with no problems. In your case you want a KVM with USB (for the keyboard and mouse) and VGA for the screen. However there are models on the market which support DVI monitors (and USB).

As a general comment a cheap solution (other than screen sharing) is if you have a monitor which has more than one connector e.g. both a VGA and DVI connectors, then you can connect one computer to each and press the selection button on the monitor.
