Wow.. Mac app multiple chat apps in one. thanks! This one has been killing me for weeks. I had resorted to creating .sigs on other machines and bringing the file over to mine.

There just *might* be some other problem (and solution :-) at hand here. Some weeks ago I used a homemade AppleScript to create some signatures. The signatures weren't being saved, although they were created. I have *never* applied the buttons-hack. The AppleScript works 100% OK and I have been using it for quite a while. My 'solution' was to manually, visually, check that signatures were created. Only then would they be saved.

And undoing the button hack did fix the signature problem.

I have not installed this hack and yet i have this identical problem..i cannot save Sigs after quitting Mail..any other ideas? Best mac scanning software free.

Yikes. Today I fixed it the hard way. During and after a one hour call to Apple technical support I did an Archive and Restore of the OS. That fixed the problem. PITA..
In my case, I did deploy the button hack, but the OS archive and install should fix the issue for those who did not deploy it also, since it replaces your busted Mail.app with a new copy.

Adding Optonline To Mail App On Mac Computer

Have you received a fix for this? I am experiencing the same loss of signatures created in mail 1.3.9. I also did not apply the button hack. If you know of a fix please let me know
